Envoy was started in 1985 in Mumbai as a distributor for digital phone instruments. From 1986 onwards Envoy imported and supplied professional audio recording equipment like ¼ “
spool tape recorders. In 1988, Graff high speed duplication equipment was supplied to actual users, mostly institutions. In 1989, with the introduction of Umatic tapes for professional
video recording Envoy distributed Umatic cassettes to the emerging video production companies.
Tesa audio video splicing tape was distributed exclusively by Envoy as importer from Germany as sole distributor through 1990s till Tesa Germany discontinued the 4231 production
with the demise of compact cassette replaced by the compact disc.
Envoy thereafter supplied CD replication equipment establishing many units into CD replication and testing, and CD packaging and printing equipment sourced from Sweden, France,
Taiwan, Austria, and USA.
Today Envoy is venturing into Rabo 3D both for the professional/industrial market as well as for design and assembly application. PowerVision Drone technology and applications for
industrial and professional applications is another focus for Envoy. Tesa industrial application for adhesive technology in advanced and high quality products has been Envoy’s portfolio
always and continues to occupy primary importance.
